About

Mark moved to South Berwick following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, choosing Maine for its independence, strong communities, and respect for personal responsibility. He attended the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, and earned degrees in Economics and Finance from Lehigh University, with a strong foundation in mathematics.
Mark built his career in the private sector on Wall Street, beginning as an institutional fixed-income trader and later becoming a partner specializing in high-yield and distressed securities. His work required discipline, accountability, and real-world financial decision-making—principles he believes are too often missing in state government.
He is running because Maine’s challenges are financial at their core. State government needs professionals who understand balance budgets and deliver fiscal responsibility to the citizens of Maine. Mark’s expertise will help grow the economy, rein in spending, and reduce the tax burden on young families and older residents alike.
Mark believes that strong communities grow from people helping one another, not from layers of bureaucracy. His service on the Board of the Global Housing Foundation—including his time as Treasurer—reflects that commitment. In that role, he worked to make sure charitable dollars were handled responsibly and made a real difference.
He’s also been involved in efforts that help underprivileged individuals cover urgent medical costs and pursue higher education. For Mark, charity works best when it’s accountable, focused, and led by people who genuinely care—not by wasteful or dishonest government officials.
Mark lives with his wife, Mathilde, an engineer specializing in energy efficiency and geothermal systems, and their loyal Bernese Mountain Dog, Kit. He has three grown daughters. Mark is running to defend taxpayers, restore fiscal discipline, and preserve Maine’s way of life for future generations.
Mark is committed to strengthening our community through steady, practical leadership that delivers real results for Maine families.
Our Mission
My mission is to bring common‑sense leadership to Augusta—leadership that protects taxpayers, strengthens local decision‑making, and keeps government focused on its core responsibilities. Maine families deserve safe communities, affordable living, and a state government that respects their hard work. I’m committed to practical solutions, accountable budgeting, and policies that support our towns, our small businesses, and our way of life.

Our Vision
I’m running for the Maine House because our communities deserve practical leadership that protects affordability, strengthens local control, and keeps government accountable to the people it serves. Maine families work hard, and they deserve a state government that does the same—focused on safe towns, strong schools, and a healthy economy. My vision is a Maine where common sense guides policy, taxpayers are respected, and our traditions of independence and service remain at the heart of every decision.
